Make a Fort!

Ask your parent or guardian if it is ok to make a fort somewhere. Practice using your persuasive speaking. Assure them that this will occupy you for a long time.

Get ready to use your design and engineering skills to make the BEST FORT EVER!!! Good architects and engineers think about the frame first.

- Look for something that will provide good support for walls like: couch cushions, bunk beds, sides of couches, pvc pipes, chairs, etc. - Arrange your frame in the best way possible. How tall should it be? How many people will you have inside? What is going to go in there? Will it be strong enough to support the weight of blankets or sheets? - Next get something to cover over the frame that is light weight like blankets or sheets. You might need some way to secure the blankets from falling, like clothes pins, books, or shoes. You can even tie string to the ends of a sheet and anchor them to chair or couch legs, or lighting fixtures. - Now come up with a password for guests to say when they come into your fort, and go get a good book to read.

- Remember, ALWAYS CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF SO YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO TRY THIS AGAIN SOMETIME!

Have a great adventure!
